It is good to replace the sponge after 3 to 6 months usage as the holes of sponge is gradually clogged by the tiny debris. The spare sponge is hidden in ceramic media balls box,need take out the spare sponge before using Two media containers with ceramic ball inside, you can also replace this ceramic media with other media.
